I actually WAS taught manners from Romper Room and my family. It was just how we were raised. And I am glad of it. I would hate to have to turn my life around and learn it now! I am a fun loving person that tries to keep up to date with things... but somethings I see on facebook curls my toes!
When you become a consultant for a company? If you do your job correctly you will be the only contact your customer has with that company. It is a very important job and you must mind your p's and q's! You want your customer to respect you and trust you. And not just when you are dealing with them. I am talking about at all times.
You cannot talk to a customer all sugar and spice, possibly making a sell and then 45 minutes be cursing like a sailor on your facebook page. Customers are few and far between. Do nothing that might run them off.
With the way facebook is set up not only can your customer see... your sponsor can see what you are up to and often a lot higher up. Like the business owner. It happens. You can be terminated for unbecoming conduct by most companies.
Do not curse, bash religions, bash gays, be bigoted and what ever else you can come up that would be a turn off. Or sit down and decide which is more important to you, Your own business or freedom of speech that hurts others. I choose to have my own business. This includes questionable graphics that go around. I crack up and want to share until I see the F bomb. It doesn't make it any funnier and I do not pass it on.
Did you know that when people go apply for a job, many employers now check the applicants facebook and other social network sites out to see what the person is like? Yup!! We are being watched more and more which is no problem if you behave yourself. :-)
