1. Learn your product.
2. Learn your company's history (if needed) and it's policies (rules, shipping, returns, catalog updates...)
3. Learn how to take care of your customer.
4. Learn how to recruit.
5. Learn how to be a sponsor.
All of these are very important if you want to do your job well. I put them in the order that has worked for me in the past. It is just my opinion and your choice. It is hard to recruit people and be their sponsor though if you do not know the rest. Trust me ;-) LOL!
1. Product is the most important. If you do not know what you have, what they do and at least a general idea of why you would want to do it... how can you sell it?
2. Your company's rules and regulations are just as important. When I start with a new company I try to divide my 'learning time' to 75% products and 25% company.
3. Your customer. First and foremost BE HONEST with your customer. If you are not? You won't see them in your catalog/website/store again. This subject goes to any and every company you will ever work for and it is a great way to be in life.
You will have all of the first three going on at once. Can you juggle more?? Next you have some one sign up under you and they want you to teach them. True story: I had a lady sign up and she must have turned right around and had her friend sign up under her as in less than 30 minutes she had down line!
4. Learn how to reach out and help others to step up and benefit from what you have. My heart wants to say Women Helping Women but there are men out there, that will need your help as well.
There are certain ways to do that and I am going to bring in a friend to help me on this one as she is great at it!
5. Any one can learn to be a sponsor... and I do mean any one LOL!! But it takes a bit more to be a good sponsor and then even more to be a mentor. Once you get rolling? The path is easy!!
I tried to set this up so that if already know one of the 5 you can just skip over them. You can always come back later to see if I have different ideas that may help you. Or if you have ideas to help me?? I welcome you to share and if I think it will help this site? I will contact you and ask your permission to use it and give you credit for helping.
Need Homework??
Consider setting up a Frequently Ask Questions for your self! It would have at least 5 sections for the 5 different subjects. As you learn your knowledge base will grow. When people join and ask you questions? Right at your fingertips!
